Welcome to Mid-East CTC, Adult Education.  Listed below are the types of student Financial Aid available for students attending our school.

Federal IV Financial Aid
includes Pell Grants and Stafford Loans (Subsidized, Unsubsidized, and Parent PLUS).  Students loans cannot be processed until after a student is in class for 30 days.  To qualify for federal financial aid, a student must have a high school diploma or a GED diploma and be enrolled in an eligible program.  Financial aid eligibility is based on need, which is determined by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  The FAFSA is the primary application for federal aid. 

Senior Citizen Discounts
Present your Golden Buckeye Card at the time of registration and received a 10% tuition only discount on any full-time adult education program.  The cost of materials, assessments, tools, and other fees are not discounted.

ABLE/GED Scholarship

GED recipients who have earned their GED from Mid-East Career and Technology Center within the past 12 months qualify for a 10% tuition only discount on any full-time adult education program.  The cost of materials, assessments, tools, and other fees are not discounted.  Proof of our GED is required at the time of program acceptance to qualify for this scholarship. 

Recent High School Graduate Tuition Reduction
For students who have recently graduated from one of 19 local high schools, each school annually has on (1) $1000 tuition reduction or two (2) $500 tuition reductions to award, which are good toward any adult education full-time program (600 hours or more).  Eligible schools include:

  • East Muskingum Local
  • Foxfire High School
  • Franklin Local
  • Franklin Local Community School
  • Maysville Local
  • Mid-East CTC (Buffalo Campus)
  • Mid-East CTC (Zanesville Campus)
  • Noble Local
  • Northern Local
  • Rolling Hills Local
  • Rosecrans High School
  • Tri-Valley Local 
  • West Muskingum Local
  • Zanesville Community School
  • Zanesville High School

Contact your high school guidance counselor for details.  Application deadline June 15.

Other financial aid options may be available.  Some students may be eligible for:

  • Workforce Investment Act benefits through the Department of Job and Family Services,
  • Veterans Benefits
  • TAA - Trade Adjustment Act
  • Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation funding for people with disabilities
  • Payment plans (must be paid in full by the end of the program)
