Welcome to Mid-East CTC, Adult Education.  Listed below are the types of student Financial Aid available for students attending our school.

Federal IV Financial Aid
includes Pell Grants and Stafford Loans (Subsidized, Unsubsidized, and Parent PLUS).  Students loans cannot be processed until after a student is in class for 30 days.  To qualify for federal financial aid, a student must have a high school diploma or a GED diploma and be enrolled in an eligible program.  Financial aid eligibility is based on need, which is determined by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  The FAFSA is the primary application for federal aid. 

Senior Citizen Discounts
Present your Golden Buckeye Card at the time of registration and received a 10% tuition only discount on any full-time adult education program.  The cost of materials, assessments, tools, and other fees are not discounted.

ABLE/GED Scholarship

GED recipients who have earned their GED from Mid-East Career and Technology Center within the past 12 months qualify for a 10% tuition only discount on any full-time adult education program.  The cost of materials, assessments, tools, and other fees are not discounted.  Proof of our GED is required at the time of program acceptance to qualify for this scholarship. 

Recent High School Graduate Tuition Reduction

Recent high school graduates will now have the opportunity to qualify for $1000 in tuition reductions to attend Mid-East CTC Adult Education!

Mid-East CTC Adult Education is able to offer any high school graduate from the 2017-2018 school year a tuition reduction of $500 to attend any full-time program that begins before April 2018. The tuition reduction will be allocated over the entirety of the program.

In addition to the $500 tuition reduction for any 2017-2018 high school graduates, Mid-East CTC Adult Education is able to offer an additional merit based tuition reduction.  Students that meet the requirements will be able to apply for the additional tuition reduction.  The student requirements for this merit based tuition reduction of $500 are as follows:

  1. Completed High School with a GPA of 2.5 or better
  2. Maintained high school attendance at 90% or better
  3. School principal or guidance counselor must verify GPA and Attendance on application by submitting the necessary documentation
  4. Meet entrance requirements of Mid-East CTC Adult Education and be approved for admission into their career program of choice

Other financial aid options may be available.  Some students may be eligible for:

  • Workforce Investment Opportunity Act benefits through the Ohio Means Jobs agencies.
  • Veterans Benefits
  • TAA - Trade Adjustment Act
  • Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation funding for people with disabilities
  • Payment plans (must be paid in full by the end of the program)
