As a dental assistant, you would make patients as comfortable as possible, prepare them for treatment and obtain their dental records for the dentist. Dentists will delegate routine tasks to you so they may use their time for more difficult procedures. The Dental Assisting program will give you the knowledge and skills you will need to pass Ohio's state certification exam.
The Multi-Skilled Health Technologies career program is for those who enjoy helping others. The program includes the required 75 hours of Board of Nursing approved nurse assisting component. Students will participate in several community activities throughout the year. You will learn life saving techniques which may help someone in your own family.

This two-year course is one of four programs offered in Ohio to high school students. To enroll in this program, you will be required to take a pre-entrance exam, which covers basic reading and math skills, and complete an interview process. For additional admission requirements, contact your high school guidance counselor.
