NOTE:  Power Lineman Orientation date has been changed.  Orientation will be March 23, 2019.  Assessments will take place March 30 and April 6.
 
Mid-East CTC - Adult Education, in partnership with American Electric Power, now offers Class D Power Lineman training. This is a 900-hour course designed to prepare students for the lineman profession. During this course of study, students participating in the program will receive Class A Commercial Driver’s License truck driver training and will also have the opportunity to showcase their skills to potential employers during a skills demonstration week.

 Students:

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Complete WorkKeys evaluation (Reading, Math, and Locating Information)
  • Complete a pre-assessment

PREPARE TO EARN CERTIFICATIONS IN:

  • Class D Power Lineman
  • OSHA 30-Hour
  • FirstAid/CPR/AED (ASHI)
  • Class A CDL Restricted
  • NCCER - PowerLine Worker Level 1
900 hours     39 weeks

Mon - Thur   4:30 - 10:00 pm (Some Saturdays as scheduled)
