Mid-East Partners with Big Brothers/Big Sisters for Lunch Buddy Program
Mid-East Partners with Big Brothers/Big Sisters for Lunch Buddy ProgramStudents at Mid-East have partnered with Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Zanesville for their “Lunch Buddy” Program. The program is designed for high school students to mentor students at the elementary level. Participating Mid-East students have been partnered with fourth graders at National Road Elementary School and meet during lunchtime with their “littles” once a week. Each week the students eat with their “little” and then interact during a craft or activity provided by Big Brothers/Big Sisters. The partnership was coordinated by Peyton Hina, School-Based Coordinator & Match Specialist from Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and Robin McQuaid, Career Specialist from Mid-East. Pictured are (back row) Mid-East Bigs Robin McQuaid, Curtis Gatrell, Seth Anslow, Jonny Hummel, Emily Kern and Thomas Booher; (front row) National Road Elementary School fourth grade Littles Adrianna Savage, Gunner Williamson, Brayden Peach, Anthony Kinney, Michael Johnson, Jayden Spencer, and Harmony Burns.
