Students who plan on attending the career centers as juniors should complete the classes below to be considered for acceptance and to be on track for graduation. The Career Connections Program which is for sophomore students is an exception.

- Social Studies - 2 credits
- Math - 2 credits
- Science - 2 credits
- Physical Education - 1/2 credit
- Health - 1/2 credit
Every student attending a career center will receive credits in academic courses in order to meet the home school diploma requirements. Academic courses in English, Math, Science and Social Studies which meet one period each day for the entire year are worth one credit each. Lab classes which meet four periods per day, every day, are worth three credits.
Students enrolled in the sophomore program, Career Connections, may take Health for ½ credit and Physical Education for ½ credit.
Each program has fees covering youth club membership, program materials, supplies, tools and/or needed equipment. Updated fee sheets can be obtained by contacting the career center's main offices.
Students who meet specific eligibility requirements may apply for a Fox Scholarship to help with students fees. Applications are available in the career center Student Services offices from January 1 through March 1.
Each school district provides transportation to the career centers. Students may also drive, but must obtain a parking permit from the career centers which they attend. Students involved with early placement and apprenticeship employment opportunities will need to provide their own transportation.
Career center students will be awarded a:

Certificate of Distinction with a Gold Seal if they have achieved a final career center GPA of 3.5 with no failed courses, and no more than 18 days of absence for both years (nine days for a one year program).

Certificate of Distinction with a Silver Seal if they have achieved a final career center GPA of 3.0 with no failed courses, and no more than 18 days of absence for both years (nine days for a one year program).

Certificate of Completion if students do not meet the above qualifications but have completed (passed) a two year career and technical education program, unless it is a one year program.

Certificate of Participation if students have completed (passed) one year of a two year program.
Career center students receive diplomas from their home high schools if they meet all state and local (home school district) requirements.
Attendance is VERY IMPORTANT at the career centers.
Students and parents should familiarize themselves with the attendance policy in the Student Handbook/Academic Planner that each student receives at the beginning of each school year.
Students and parents are held accountable for making school attendance and timely reporting top priorities; students who are absent more than four days in a given grading period may not receive class credit for that period of time.
Employers prefer to hire students with good attendance records. Good attendance reflects dependability and positive work ethics.
